AAP Invites PM And His Cabinet For Arvind Kejriwal's Oath Taking Ceremony

arvind kejriwal swearing inThe AAP has invited PM Modi and his cabinet for the oath taking ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal as the 8th CM of New Delhi; the ceremony will be held on 14th of this month.

"We want to invite the prime minister, all union ministers and Delhi MPs," said Manish Sisodiya.

PM Modi has given Arvind Kejriwal an appointment at 10:30 AM tomorrow. During the meeting, the CM designate will formally invite the PM to the ceremony, which will be held at the historical Ramlila Maidan. Mr Kejriwal took his oath of Chief Ministership at the same venue on the previous occasion as well.

The chances of the PM going to the ceremony are not very bright as he has a packed schedule over the weekend; he is flying out to Maharashtra early on the Sunday morning.

"Our biggest invitation is to the people. Every citizen is becoming chief minister," Manish Sisodia said. Since getting a historic mandate yesterday, Kejriwal is urging the people of Delhi to come to his swearing-in ceremony.

Kiran Bedi, the CM candidate of BJP, who lost even her own constituency is also among the invitees, and so in Anna Hazare. The anti-corruption crusader and Kejriwal's patron Hazare did not attend his previous oath ceremony in 2013.

It will, most definitely, be a tough task for the Delhi Police to oversee the occasion as the capacity of Ramlila Maidan is just one lakh and the attendance is expected to be much more than that.

NITI AayogFirst meeting of the Governing Council of NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog chaired by PM Modi at his official residence at the 7 Race Course Road was dominated by the demands of greater allocation of funds to the non-NDA governed states.

PM said that the country will not advance if all the states are not advancing in tandem. He further said that he envisions different states competing against one another in a spirit of cooperative and competitive federalism. The world has started to look at the country, and the biggest challenge for the nation is to eliminate poverty. Job creation and poverty elimination can never be achieved without sustainable growth. “First and foremost we should aim at a high rate of growth, “the PM said, according to the officially released statement.

The FM further said that NITI Aayog would comprise of three sub-groups of Chief Ministers. First group would take care of the 66 centrally sponsored schemes which should be continued, transferred to States, or shelved all together. The second group would oversee skill development within the states. And the third group would be there for developing the institutional mechanisms needed for attaining success for the Swachh Bharat Mission - the PM's dream project.

The PM urged the states to try and provide all the school within their territories with toilets so that day-to-day cleanliness can be achieved. He also suggested that a portion of funds under the MPLAD and MLALAD schemes should be devoted towards cleanliness-related activities.

Congress Is Misleading The Public: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the Congress Party of telling lies and misleading the people of Jharkhand. PM launched this tirade at the Congress party in his election rally in Dumka, Jharkhand.

"Congress doesn't even know the magnitude of the tribal people who stay in the nation. They never thought of working for them. Those against us are short of issues to criticize us. They wonder what to say, because we are devoted to serving the people. Congress holds a meeting every evening and thinks about what lies to spread, how to mislead the voters," Modi told the crowd.

Modi did not stop there, he accused the previous governments of looting the state coffers and resources. He urged the public to vote for the BJP to ensure development in the state.

"It is the development of the tribal communities that will lead to the development of the nation. Jharkhand has so much coal that you can remove darkness from all of India. If the previous governments did not work for the welfare of the people, what were they doing? They were looting you all," he spoke in his usual style.

"Do not give another chance to the people who have wronged you. If you do they will only wrong you more, punish them and they might get a lesson. Jharkhand is 14 years old now, when one is 14 years old care for them is intensified and this election will lay the foundation for Jharkhand for the next 100 years," he added eloquently.

The Election Commission said that the fourth phase of the five-phase election saw a voter turnout of 61.5% and no incident of violence was reported from the election zone.

The final phase of election in the state is going to be held on 20th December and the counting will take place on the 23rd of the same month
