14 Injured in Grenade Attack in Shopian, Kashmir

Around 14 civilians including children were injured today in a grenade attack by militants at a busy market place in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

The militants hurled the grenade at a police contingent in the main town area of Shopian, situated around 52 kms from the state capital Srinagar.

The bomb missed the target and landed in a crowded area and exploded, resulting in serious injuries to 14 people, the police told the media.

The injured including two children have been taken to the nearby hospital.
