While Prime Minister NarendraModi's visit to China is on, China's leading broadcaster- state owned, of
course- CCTV has aired a map of India, which does not have Jammu and Kashmir
and Arunachal Pradesh.
A foundation for better bilateral
relationship between both the countries was looking like a pleasant
proposition, but this this act of utter provocation seems to have poisoned the
bright prospects.
Earlier today, the ChinesePresident XI Jinping and India PM Narendra Modi were seen walking hand in hand.
There has been a strong
disagreement between the two countries for decades over Arunachal Pradesh. On
one hand, it is an India state, and on the other, China claims it to be a part
of its own. India accuses China of illegally occupying Aksai Chin, which is a
rocky and largely empty region far to the northwest.
The two Asian countries have
fought a war in 1962 over the territory; the only war in India's independent
history that it has lost.
