Congress party vice-president and
son of former PM late Rajeev Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, is on a ‘kisan padyatra’. He
reached out to the family of Rajeshwar, a farmer who committed suicide sometime
ego, and gave them a cheque of Rs. two lacks.
Gandhi began his 15-kilometre
long padyatra from Nirmal in the Adilabad district of newly formed Telangana
state.
Few days back, the heir to the
Congress Presidential throne raised the issues of farmer in the parliament, and
went on to meet the farmers of Punjab and Maharashtra.
The reports say that around 9000
farmers have committed suicide in the state due to the prevailing agrarian
crisis all across the country.
