Every nook and corner of the
Mumbai sessions court has been flooded with police personnel as the court is
set to pronounce the verdict toady in Salman Khan's 2002 hit-and-run case,
which took a life and injured several.
Salman Khan's family has been
offering prayers through the last night at his residence in Galaxy apartment in
Bardra ahead of the looming guilty-verdict.
His father Salim Khan said,
"We are all eagerly waiting for the verdict and we hope all will go well."
A family source said that the actor's mother Salma has been visiting temples
for the last few days.
Khan has returned to Mumbai from
Jammu and Kashmir where he had been shooting for his home production 'Bajrangi
Bhaijaan'; the movie is expected to release in July this year.
The Judge D W Deshpande has
summoned Khan to be present at the court at 11:15 AM when the verdict is expected
to be pronounced in the 12-years-old case.
Khan, 49, is facing charges under
IPC for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and if proven guilty, he can
be sentenced to a maximum of 10-years imprisonment.
On 28 September 2002 at around
two in the night, his car allegedly collided into a bakery in suburban Bandra
killing one and injuring four others.\
