Reunion of Janata Parivar will Not Affect BJP's Performance in Bihar: Sushil Modi

Senoir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former CM of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi has siad that the reunion of the Janata Parivar is not going to affect the performance of his party in the coming assembly elections.

"Even if there is merger of Janata Parivar, it won't affect us (BJP) in any way. We are ready to fight with them in every form, whether they fight in merger or not," he said.

He was of the opinion that the people of the state do not want the 'jungle raj' - a term often associated with the era when Lalu Yadav ruled the state- to come back at any cost.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of Samajwadi Party Ram Gopal Yadav has told the media that the merger of the Janata Parivar is not going to happen before the Bihar elections due to technical reasons.

According to him, the best possible way for Lalu and Nitesh is to contest the Bihar elections on seat sharing basis. He said that the parties would lose their flags and symbols if they merge now and that would confuse the voters ahead the elections.

The merger of the Janata Parivar was announced last month and  the Samajwadi Party chief  Mulayam Singh Yadav was declared the President of the prospective party.
