The Karnataka High Court Acquits Jayalalitha in the Disproportionate Assets Case

The Karnataka High Court has acquitted the AIADMK supremo and former CM of Tamilnadu J. Jayalalitha today in a disproportionate assets case.

The trial court had found her guilty of improper accumulation of 54 crore rupees, and sentenced her to a four year jail term.

A petition was filed against the decision in the Karnataka High Court.

VK Sasikala, VN Sudhakaran and J. Ilyarsi were also acquitted by the Karnataka High Court.

As soon as the news of her acquittal was broken, the party activists and supporters started celebrating her 'home coming'.     


Jayalalitha has to resign from the post of CM last year after being convicted in the disproportionate assets case.
