A Massive Fire Breaks Out at the Oriental Bank of Commerce in Connaught Place Area of Central Delhi

A massive fire has broken out at the Oriental Bank of Commerce in the Connaught Place area of the national capital today. 

A few people are feared trapped in the same building.

Around 20 fire engines have been rushed to the building that houses the bank to douse the flames. The trapped people are being evacuated.
 

There are no further details on the incident as of now.

A Massive Fire Breaks Out in a South Mumbai Residential Building, Several Injured

A massive fire in an over-hundred years old housing building in a densely-populated locality of South Mumbai this evening. The fire injured four people including fire fighters.    

A part of under-construction building collapsed as the massive fire spread across all its four floors and gulped down the wooden beams.

Gokul Nivas, the affected building, is situated in the densely populated Kalba Devi area of Mumbai and shelters some residential apartments and houses some shops and cloth godowns on the floors below. 



While trying to douse the fire Chief fire officer Sunil Nesrikar and two other fire brigade personnel suffered burns, while a couple of residents were also injured in the fire. All of them have been taken to the nearby Masina Hospital. 

A fire brigade official told the media, "We were informed about the fire at 4.20 pm and our personnel reached the spot in ten minutes despite traffic snarls."

Around 17 fire engines and 10 water tankers rushed to the ground zero.

No deaths have been reported yet.
