Indian Team For The World Cup 2015 Announced, No Yuvraj Singh

India's squad for the 2015 WC has been announced today. There were no big surprises in the selection of the 15 member team that will participate in the WC in Australia apart from the inclusion of Stuart Binni.

The team comprises of five batsmen, two wicketkeeper-batsmen, four quicks, one spinner, andthree all-rounders; Mohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni will be travelling with the 15 men squad to Australia to play the tri series.

Ravinder Jadeja and Ishant Sharma are chosen inspite of being slightly injured as they are expected to come to the optimum fitness level in time. "Jadeja is at present going under a rehabilitation program. He is doing wonderfully well. We had a detailed discussion today with the BCCI physio and we are quite hopeful he will be match-fit within the next ten days." BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said.

The speculations about Yuvraj Singh's selection were pretty ripe in the last few days despite the fact that he was not in the 30 probables for the World Cup. But the selection panel chose to overlook him.

The WC sqaud of India is: MS Dhoni (capt & wk), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Akshar Patel, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Stuart Binny


Stuart Binny's father Roger Binny is a selection panel member since 2012.
