At least 12 people, including 2
police men were killed in a brutal attack by terrorists in a French Magazine
office Charlie Hebdo. The attackers were armed with machine guns and
rocket-launchers.
Four cartoonists and the editor
of the magazine were among those killed.
The President of France Francois
Hollande said that the act is an act of utter barbarity. The masked attackers
opened fire in the office and exchanged bullets with the police present in the
street. Later, they escaped in a car, which they left in Rue de Meaux,
northern Paris, they then escaped in another hijacked car.
Charlie Hebdo's cartoons and
articles have always vexed the orthodox people among various religions. It invited
ire of the Islamist fundamentalists for drawing a cartoon of Prophet Mohammad
few years back.
Various country heads have
condemned the massacre on social networks.
Condemnable & despicable attack in Paris. Our solidarity with people of France. My thoughts are with families of those who lost their lives.

The murders in Paris are sickening. We stand with the French people in the fight against terror and defending the freedom of the press.
