India today successfully test-fired Prithvi-II, a
surface-to-surface missile with a strike range of 350 km as part of a user
trial by the army from a test range at Chandipur, Odisha. This indigenously
developed missile is capable of carrying 500 to 1000 Kg of warheads; it can
carry nuclear warhead as well. The missile can be thruster by liquid propulsion
twine engines.
Prithvi II uses advance internal guidance system with manoeuvring
trajectory.
